  8. Handyman is a utility for working with Visual Basic code in the
  9. native Visual Basic editing environment.  This program is freely
  10. distributed as shareware and may be evaluated without charge
  11. for 30 days.

  22. * Place all files in the directory of your choice.  
  23. * Add HANDYMN.EXE to the program group of your choice, or create
  24.   a new group.  For those who use Visual Basic on a daily basis,
  25.   adding the HANDYMN.EXE to the STARTUP group is recommended.

  29. * Run Handyman and click on the "?" button; from the Contents
  30.   screen, select 'Overview'.  When ready, select 'Getting Started'.

  73. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT
  74. ---------------------
  75. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  76. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  77. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  78. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  79. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  80. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  81. using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  84. and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  85. exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  86. programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are
  87. of comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs
  88. and bad ones!) The main difference is in the method of
  89. distribution. The author specifically grants the right to copy
  90. and distribute the software, either to all and sundry or to a
  91. specific group. For example, some authors require written
  92. permission before a commercial disk vendor may copy their
  93. Shareware.

  96. should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook,
  97. whether it's commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes
  98. fitting your needs easier, because you can try before you buy.

  100. has the ultimate money-back guarantee -- if you don't use the
  101. product, you don't pay for it.

  107. "Handyman is supplied as is.  The author disclaims all
  108. warranties, expressed or implied, including, without limitation,
  109. the warranties of merchantability and of fitness for any purpose.
  110. The author assumes no liability for damages, direct or conse-
  111. quential, which may result from the use of Handyman."

  113. Handyman is a "shareware program" and is provided at no charge
  114. to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  115. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  116. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  117. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  118. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  119. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  120. useful and find that you are using Handyman and continue to use
  121. Handyman after a reasonable trial period, you must make a reg-
  122. istration payment of $20 to the author.  The $20
  123. registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  124. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  125. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  126. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  127. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  128. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
